During Scottish Inter Faith Week 2010 members of the Committee visited the Central Mosque in Glasgow. Archbishop Conti presented Dr Kausar, the President of the Mosque Committee and a member of the Muslim Council of Scotland with a copy of the Bible. This visit was reciprocated when some members from the Central Mosque came to Glasgow Archdiocesan Offices for coffee and a discussion about setting up some kind of conversation/ dialogue between Catholics and Muslims.
Members of the Committee were invited by the Jewish community to a celebration of TuBiShvat, the festival is known as the Festival of Trees which is the beginning of the agricultural year in Israel. Archbishop Conti brought the traditional gift of fruit which he presented to Rabbi Ruben, some of which was then cut up to be eaten at the light supper prepared by Scottish Council of Jewish Communities.
