A very successful colloquium on Islam took place at the Conforti Global Institute 12th/13th August. Thirty six people participated and contributed to the conversation. There was time to explore issues such as the spread of Islam, the development of Shariah, the Salafist Movement and the placed of women in Islam. Letter of Condolence
The Imam and President of the Central Mosque in Glasgow has written to Archbishop Conti expressing condolences for the murder of Fr Jacques Hamel. Here is an excerpt from the letter
The Covenant of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in the 7th Century to the Christian Monks of
Saint Catherine Monastery of Mount Sinai was a pioneering document. It promised freedom of worship,
movement as well as security, protection and civic rights.
